From today’s perspective of environmental crisis, returning to ancestral rhythms and materials of the earth are acts of healing.

In this exhibition five artists explore our relationship to the land. Collaborating with the natural world through material, ritual, and slowing down of practices, they represent a holistic connection deeply rooted in human-nature.

Each artist immerses their practice into the world around them as they traverse earthly time and space. These pieces are records of individual journeys and experiences and act as meditations on the landscape. Through body works, mindscapes and earth paintings, shifting mediums across science, spirituality and the arts.

As you walk around the space you will see the natural world seep into the very material of the work. With Hack’s paintings using pigments foraged from the environment, and Papa’s film developed in seaweed: Photographs are portals into earthly realms, unfolded in drawings of an imagined ground. Root networks sprawl into the viewing space, an interconnectedness of all things.

Showing work from the artists Megan Willow Hack, Esmé Papa, Jaime Walker, Ocean Goucher and Zosia Szymanowska
